We have a variety of athletics programs at Saint Paschal Baylon! Click on a tab to reveal more information. Please note that all registrations must be done through the Sports Pilot CYO Sports Registration, which you can access with the button below.
SPB CYO Sports
St. Paschal Baylon currently offers the following CYO sports by season and grade:
Registration for Fall takes place May – June
- Tackle Football – Gr. 6 – 8
- Girls Volleyball – Gr. 3 -8
- Girls Soccer – Gr. 3 – 8
- Boys and Girls Flag Football – Gr. 1 -3
- Rookie Tackle – Grades 4 and 5. 7 vs 7 on a smaller field.
- Cross Country – Gr. 3 – 8
**Cheerleading is also a CYO sport and SPB has offered cheerleading in the past. Please consider volunteering to form a squad!
Registration for Winter takes place in October

Please be aware that we can not guarantee to field a team in any of these sports or grades. We must have the minimum amount of participants and adequate coaching to field the teams. Please consider volunteering, our children are very eager to participate and we try to do everything we can to field a team.

Soccer - Girls
Girls Soccer – Fall Sport – August through October
- Girls Soccer for grades 3 – 8
Practices begin in August and season runs August – October. Regular season matches take place on weekends. Tournaments and playoffs may take place on weekday evenings. Season schedules are posted on the website in August. Some matches may take place at east side Parishes (St. Francis, etc) and some matches take place on the west side.
Commissioner of Soccer: Needed
Soccer registration takes place from May-June.
Flag Football - Girls and Boys
Flag Football for Boys and Girls in Gr. 1 – 3 Fall Sport – August through October
Practices begin in August and season runs August – October. Regular season games take place on weekends. Season schedules are posted on the website in August. Games will take place at various locations throughout Cuyahoga and Lake Counties. You may have to travel far west and east sides for games depending on the number of teams fielded by parishes.
NEW – Spring Flag Football for boys in 3rd-8th grade. Registration Feb. 5th-Feb.20th. Game played on Saturday mornings.
Flag football registration takes place from May-July.
Baseball and Softball - Boys and Girls
Baseball and Softball- CYO Spring Sports – April – May
- Baseball for Boys grades 3 – 8
- Softball for Girls grades 3 – 8
Practices begin in March and season runs April through May. Games take place on weekends. Tournaments and playoffs may take place on weekday evenings. Baseball and softball games subject to weather conditions. Season schedules posted on the website in March. The game takes place at various Cuyahoga County and Lake County ball fields. You may have to travel to the west side for games also depending on how many parishes field teams.
Commissioner of Boys Baseball and Girls Softball: Needed
Registration for Baseball and Softball will take place in Jan-Mar and will be announced at school and in the bulletin. You must register with our Sports Pilot Registration System. May not be offered in all grades due to lack of coaches and/or registrations.
Volleyball - Girls and Boys

Jette and School Gym Schedule
Anyone using the gym must have prior approval from the facilities manager. Any one person 21 or younger may not use the gym without a parent present. Any group of people (2 or more) under the age of 25 must have an adult who is 25 years or older present. Anyone using the gym for profit (camps, practices for outside leagues, etc.) must coordinate with the facilities manager and pay for the usage.
Cross Country is a fall sport for CYO and is offered with our partner parish, Corpus Christie for grades 4-8. Registration takes place May-June.

Track is offered for 3rd -8th graders. Registration is in February. Practices start the first week of March. Practices are at Mayfield High School or Hawken Lower School. The first meet will be the weekend of March 25/26th and the season goes through May.

The St. Paschal Baylon Athletic Associaton (SPBAA) meets every third Thursday at 8 pm in the Parish Life Center. We are looking forward to meeting and involving you in all aspects of our sports programs. We have many ways of getting involved with our sports programs from coaching to volunteering with our special events. Consider joining us, even if you can’t spare much time.
